nsw mid north coast bass

went out bass fishing for the first time this season in the nambucca river managed to catch and release 24 fish ranging from 15cm to 45cm, and i dropped a 50cm+ fish right beside my kayak right at the end

Thanks for sharing your day out. A genuine wild 50+ bass would have got the heart thumping.

What type of lures are your preferred choice there?

I tried a taylor made nippy nymph that was on the clearance shelf at BCF which accounted for most of the fish, kokoda bat is a good cheap surface lure which is what caught the biggest fish of the trip, basically anything in the 40-70mm range from surface to 2m with a wide swim pattern will work
I actually found the spot we fished using google maps, the sattelite view shows where the decent looking sections of river are and then I track back to launch points such as a road bridge
