So i went chasing carp on fly, First fish i saw was under a low tree in shallow water and couldnt present a cast well enough so i waited. Finally out in a bit of an opening i landed the fly just short and this thing honed in on it but didnt take, The next cast was the same but when i ran out of line to strip i let the fly sit on the bottom and it hooverd it up.

Didnt look this big in the water... but a bit of entertainment

Top effort Steve is that orange marabou in that tail ? A fishing guide I know in California has good success with chartreuse wooly buggers so may be worth a try. Cheers Pat.

Thanks Pat and no its just buck tail, Marabou would have worked better but only have limited materials. Ive missed the strike on a few carp with chartreuse woolly buggers so they do work.

Was told a bit of pink to see the fly doesn't hurt and carp don't mind the colour either !
