JD is away
« on: May 02, 2013, 05:49:35 PM »
G'Day crew,
I'm up in North Queensland for about a month so short of getting some Sooties or JP's it's all rust water for a while.
Cheers,
John

Hi Jim,
Yes mate, still have them in fact Brett Guy and I will be having a look at the one on the Tully River next weekend. Bloody windy in Lucinda. Have to catch up when I get home; coffee or something?

G'Day Andrew and Fitzy,
We had a minor setback yesterday found out there was a hole in the bottom of the boat while we were up one of the croc infested estuaries. Wife had a small heart attack thinking of all the nasties in the water but the bilge pump got us back ok. Found out that the mud guard on the trailer had rubbed a hole on one side after the runner on one side had dropped a bit in transit. Only about 2.5cm by about 3mm but it let in a lot of water. Never leave the land without a bilge pump I say!
Needless to say fishing has gone quiet until the boat gets fixed tomorrow.
Cheers,
John
