Twin Bridges, no luck but magic morning.

My first time on the brissy. Dawn launch at twin bridges in magic conditions. Flicked a fly slowly heading upstream.
No hits, no visible surface action. Marked a few on the bottom in spots but nothing was playing.
Didn't really care too much, the views were magic, got some more fly casting practice in and sussed the river out. Will leave the mirage drive at home next time, was easier to paddle and not watch out for surprise stumps.
Will certainly be back more often, want to crack this spot on fly

Bass gurglers on surface. Marabou or bucktail, foam body in greens, yellow or white.

Never had much luck on the surface but I do know that weather lures(SP) or fly I have done better casting right into the snags with snag free flies and lures than in more open water. Might be because it gets fished so hard they are spooky.

Muz, at this time of year I would be fishing weighted wholly buggers, cast to an in-stream snag, let it sink for varying amounts of time and then short strips.
Worked for me open day last year

Just on Daylight or Dusk for surface flies. During the day Woolly Buggers as Norm said or even a Clouser or Pink Thing. The Bass are still feeding on Boney Bream so don't be scared of a larger profile streamer.

Great feedback thanks guys. I have a couple of green zonkers, some black/purple vampires, some white crazy charlies and a few white/green white/blue clousers. Will have to look up the wooley buggers, haven't tied them before.
Kids soccor has finished for the year, so Norm, I might be able to get along to a few BFFC meetings (I'm hoping).
