Loss of mojo
« on: January 20, 2013, 08:15:07 PM »
I'm sure this happens to all of us at one point or another, but I had recently undergone the painful experience of 3 trips in a row without raising a scale. This was in places that I knew held fish, and the buggers were there I have no doubt. At one point 2 Bass followed my lure to the boat. They probably sat under the very snag I was casting to laughing. Anyway hope springs eternal so we took off down the Wilson early yesterday and I was beginning to think it was all going black again when we picked another location and drifted down with the current. Two Bass in quick succession will do a lot to restore your faith. I'm gonna do it again just to make sure I wasn't being had.
Cheers,
JD

fishing is not essential to life, it's much more important

These patches of rain will stir things up when it starts to flow and then clear up

Hang in there

Yeh doing that mate, never give up. Got a nice tip off a mate today about a creek I've been hitting without success due to very dirty water. He tells me it's clearer the further up you go. Guess where I'm goin this week.

Whats more frustrating is multiple lure trips with no shows, and catching heaps in the same areas in bait! (When I take the daughter).

Usually means they are just to well fed.

Yes nothing to do at all with all the years of fishing experience and practising throwing lures in the back yard. Just bloody luck on the part of the person soaking a bait. Grrr
