Went for a look at the MacIntyre yesterday. 1st stop was Bybera Rd. Nice and easy launch into some great looking territory. Didn't last long though as both upstream and downstream were blocked. Upstream by two big logs across the creek and downstream just got shallow and was all silted up by the look of it.

Next stop was Cremascos Rd. I didn't even bother to launch here as upstream just past this big pond there was another fallen big sucker of a tree across the creek and downstream looked very choked up with fallen trees. Roadwork at the bridge. Gave each side about 20 casts with the spinnerbait anyway as I spooked something as I walked across the bridge you can see the ripples in the first pic.

Headed to the weir and launched. Had a few half hearted throws at some timber but it was so difficult to choose as there were timber and lilies everywhere. Decided to head to the end in search of some skinny stuff. I paddled till I felt more comfortable with my surroundings and managed a yella on my second cast into my first snag. Once again he hit it as I was bringing the lure out of the water. It was never more than a foot from the end of my rod. Lucky because when I cast the lure I thought to myself "Now that's a suicide cast. If I hook up I'll get done for sure!!"

Next snag and I got hit as soon as the lure landed. The fish launched out of the water but missed somehow. No other hits on the spinnerbait and I continued on until I ran into yet another downed big ass tree across the water. Decided to turn around and popped on a surface frog for another go at the one I missed. I got one halfhearted boof but that was it. Light was faded and I legged it back with the moonlight guiding me.

Left home at 11:20am and got back at 10:03pm. 565km all up, but well worth the effort.

PS I was feeling super lazy and I am sure that I could have got past the logs by myself but I reckon 2 up would be better.

PS sorry Nathan I didn't get your message until I was on my way home. Didn't seem to get much coverage out there with my phone company (that's why I'm with them, I like getting no calls while fishing).

Catch up next trip and you can put me onto some green fish.
