Corella
Dam / Lake Corella - 55 Km West of Cloncurry. Qld
Corella
Dam was constructed in 1959 for town water for the uranium
mining town of Mary Kathleen (now a ghost town) and Cloncurry.
When full it has a surface area of 320 hectares and holds
15 300 mega litres of water at an average depth of 4.8 meters,
however a hole in the dam wall prevents this dam ever being
full.
Fish
present - Sooty Grunter, Sleepy Cod, Striped Sleepy
Cod and Redclaw crayfish.

Boating
Corella Dam is open to all forms of boating. No boat ramp
is provided however boats may be launched from the bank
with care.
Camping
Camping is permitted below the dam. Hotel / Motel available
in Cloncurry or Mt Isa. See Accomodation
